Fukuyama Taiho Zenji, Head Priest of Daihonzan Eiheiji, Appointed Head Priest of Sotoshu
With the term of Egawa Shinzan Zenji (Head Priest of Daihonzan Sojiji) as Head Priest of Sotoshu ending on January 21, 2012, Head Priest of Daihonzan Eiheiji, Fukuyama Taiho Zenji, was appointed Head Priest of Sotoshu as of January 22, 2012.
The Head Priest of Sotoshu is a position that is alternately held by the Head Priests of Daihonzan Eiheiji and Daihonzan Sojiji every two years. This is the second time Fukuyama Zenji has been appointed Head Priest, following his previous term from January 2008 to January 2010.
